TODAY’S TRAINING INSPIRATION:
KEVIN LAUE

Today’s Colin Timberlake Training Inspiration is a man who has defied the odds not only by making the cut for competitive teams in his young athletic career, but defied them even further by being one of the best players on his roster.

An impeded blood flow while in the womb cost Kevin Laue the full development of his left arm, resulting in a partially formed limb that ends at the elbow. At the end of his right arm is what he refers to as the “nub” and he has learned to use it effectively during game play.

The vast majority of people would probably view the lack of an arm to be a sufficient impediment to prevent them from engaging in competitive basketball. Not Kevin Laue, as he worked on his skills and by his junior year of high school, he was the center o the varsity b-ball team.

A broken leg prevented him from playing for a good portion of his senior year, but he followed that season up by playing at Fork Union Military Academy, where he average 6.9 points and 7.4 rebounds.

Presently considered an NCAA prospect, the story is nowhere close to over for Kevin Laue, but watching what this man can do with one hand should make you feel pretty weak if you aren’t pursuing your dreams with two good hands.
