It is fairly rare that you will have multiple members of a family on this illustrious list, but such is the case with Jeff Wincott and younger brother Michael.

Jeff Wincott first rose to prominence with a starring role in the CBS cop drama Night Heat, a role which came after cutting his teeth in Prom Night, one of the classic early 1980s horror films starring scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis.

Like many up-and-coming Canadian actors in the late 1970s, Wincott appeared in King of Kensington, a network series starring Al Waxman, the godfather of underappreciated Canadian thespians.

Wincott later used his proficiency in boxing and martial arts to become a top-billed star for many smaller martial arts films, and also used these abilities to land a starring role in Universal Soldier 2 and Universal Soldier 3, a pair of low-budget sequels to the original film.

These were made before Jean-Claude Van Damme picked up the series again and made his own sequels. While these films were generally hopeless, Wincott nonetheless added a measure of authenticity to the otherwise doomed flicks.

Jeff Wincott has also appeared in The Invasion, attempting to kill / body-snatch Nicole Kidman, and has had guest starring roles in some of the most acclaimed series of recent times, among them The Wire, Sons of Anarchy and 24.
