TODAY’S TRAINING INSPIRATION:
TODD DUFFEE
Today’s Colin Timberlake Training Inspiration is a man
who last weekend saw the culmination of his training when he provided the fastest official knockout victory in UFC history, stopping heavyweight Tim Hague in 7 seconds.
One look at Todd Duffee easy illustrates the extent of his training, as he could probably walk into a bodybuilding competition despite the fact that he is a fully functional mixed martial artist.
As well, the man who he crushed to set the UFC record was no slouch either. Tim Hague walked into the octagon with a career record of 10-1, with his only loss coming by decision. The man had never been stopped in eleven fights and defeated only once, when it went to the judges’ scorecards.
In an MMA world where heavyweights are getting bigger and stronger, Duffee may well be one of the few men with the gifts and training ethic to compete in strength with the beasts of the division like Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin. Like those two, Duffee enters the cage on fight night near the heavyweight upper limit of 265 pounds.
